Marvin Elliott admits Bristol City must step up their game when they visit Swansea City on Saturday.

The Robins midfielder scored on his first start back after a groin injury in Monday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.

But Elliott admitted he and his team-mates faced a dressing room dressing down from manager Gary Johnson and assistant boss Keith Millen after they conceded a last minute penalty.

"Swansea will be a major test and we have to step up for that," the Bristol City midfielder said. "We have to go again come Saturday.

"We weren't happy on Monday and the gaffer and Milly let us know after the game and rightly so. We weren't happy that we didn't see it out.

"It was the last kick of the game, so it is a sucker punch because there is nothing you can do to get the game back after that. It has been the story of our season really.

"The away form has been better than our home form and that has cost us our place in the play-offs, so that is something we have to improve on. We have to perform well for the last few games. We are not going to just let the season peter out.

"It is all about pride now and we have all got pride, so we won't let it fizzle out. We will give it 100 per cent for every single game."

Meanwhile, manager Johnson will decide today whether to recall Chris Weale from Yeovil Town after Adriano Basso's ankle injury.

He said: "It wasn't as bad as we thought, so we are just going to give it a couple of days."

Elsewhere, Frankie Artus believes his impressive form for Cheltenham Town has helped him prolong his stay with City.

The 20-year-old midfielder has shone during his loan spell with Cheltenham, scoring three goals in five appearances.

Artus said: "It shows to other people I can play in the League and do well and it always looks good on my part when I am scoring goals and producing some good performances here at Cheltenham.

"I spoke to the gaffer (Johnson) and he said they are going to offer me a new deal, so it's just a case of sorting it out now. It's nice to know you are wanted."
