Elliott happy with new Bristol City contract
Bristol City midfielder Marvin Elliott last night said he was delighted to have signed a new contract with the Robins that will run until June 2012.
The 24-year-old had been linked with a number of Barclays Premier League clubs including Fulham, Wigan, Portsmouth and Blackburn, while Wolverhampton Wanderers had a £2 million bid turned down for him in January.

Elliott has enjoyed two successful seasons with Bristol City since joining from Millwall in the summer of 2007 and has become a fans' favourite.
Speaking after returning from holiday in Jamaica, he said: "Yes I've signed it and I am happy it's all sorted. At the moment I'm just concentrating on getting as fit as possible so I'm up and running for July 1."
Bristol City return for pre-season training at the start of next month and the extension of Elliott's stay with the club will clearly send a positive message to players considering moves to the Robins.
City are yet to add to their squad this summer, while player of the year Dele Adebola is likely to move on to Nottingham Forest.
Fringe players goalkeeper Chris Weale (Leicester City) and striker Peter Styvar (Skoda Xanthi) have moved on since the last Coca-Cola Championship campaign ended.

“Hello has anyone forgotten he was on the treatment table for most of last season, the midfield needs shaking up badly, there's been no width, missed Marv in the middle and ultimately strikers weren't getting the service they deserved?!
I stand by comments a while ago that he and McIndoe must GO, I regard this as a backward step?!......”

“What a real man , he got on with it ,did not throw the toys out, signed his contract and has a bright future well done Marv . I`m sure he`d have knocked his agent out if he proposed signing for an unknown Icelandic team to further his career.”
