Editor's comment: In praise of Cossham campaigners
THE re-opening of Cossham Hospital is a triumph for all those who campaigned against its closure. But for them it would have been consigned to history, a wonderful example of philanthropy lost forever.
But thanks to all those who marched, protested, wrote, signed petitions and generally made their voices heard it has not only been saved but given a new lease of life.
It truly is a victory for people power and common sense.
