Editor's comment: Bristol railways
THE resurgence of the Severn Beach line, the plans for a Bristol Metro and the campaign for the Henbury Loop line are all evidence of a new age for local railways.
After years of neglect people and politicians are recognising how valuable and significant they can be.
Local campaigners have managed to force railways to he top of the transport debate. It is vitally important that the momentum they have provided is maintained and real progress made.
