I was delighted to read that the new leader of the council, Barbara Janke, recognises that when it comes to making decisions, locals know best.

I agree. Local people do know best. So given the enormous level of public opposition to proposals to designate the Daisy Field and part of the Lamp Lighters land in Shirehampton as 'low value' land, to be sold off for building development, will the Liberal Democrats now abandon these plans?
