Driver killed after walking into path of traffic on M4 near Bristol/Bath
A motorist whose vehicle crashed on the M4 near Bristol has been killed in a horrifc accident after they got out and walked into the path of oncoming traffic.
The car was involved in the crash at around 1am this morning, causing it to leave the carriageway and the person, believed to be the driver, left the car and was then tragically killed after being struck by vehicles.

Serious accident on M4 between junction 18 and junction 19
The accident happened westbound between J18, A46 (Bath) and J19, M32 (Bristol). The road was closed overnight and this morning and a diversion is in operation until 9am/10am. Traffic should follow the 'Solid Circle' symbol on road signs via A46, A432, A4174 and M32.
Duty Inspector Rob Pearson said: "For some reason the person left the car and wandered onto the live carriageway where they were struck by numerous vehicles. It is a very sad incident."
