Driver appears in court over Bristol teen death
A man has appeared in court charged with causing the death of 15-year-old Troy Atkinson by dangerous driving in Bristol.
Mohammed Ahmed, 18, of Eastville, faced four charges when he appeared before Bristol Magistrates' Court today.

He was charged with causing Troy's death by driving a Mercedes car dangerously in Penn Street in Bristol city centre on April 28.
The teenager, who appeared in court wearing a white jumper and grey T-shirt, also faced charges of taking a Mercedes from an address in Eastville without consent, failing to stop for an accident and driving without insurance on the same day.
Watched by his relatives and friends and family of Troy at the back of the court, Ahmed spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and did not enter pleas to any of the charges.
Troy, who lived in Hartcliffe, died in Frenchay Hospital after suffering severe head injuries in the collision on April 28, which happened at 7pm.
Ahmed, also known as Saqib Mohammed Ahmed, was remanded in custody to appear before Bristol Crown Court on May 19.
