Bristol Premier Combination round-up:

Ryan Burnard celebrated his return from injury by scoring twice for unbeaten Oldland Abbotonians Reserves, who boosted their bid for Division I honours with a comfortable 5-2 home win against Greyfriars Athletic.

Haydn Conlon (2) and Sam Winfield were also on target for the Abbots, with Miles Smith and Ed Decroos replying for the Friars.

Leaders Seymour United were left without a game because Highridge Reserves could not raise a team, so Patchway Reserves closed the gap to four points with a 1-0 home victory over lowly Henbury Reserves.

Patchway missed a host of chances before Billy Mitchell hit a last-gasp decider from 25 yards, to the relief of manager Andy England.

"We hit the bar and the post, then had a goal disallowed, before Billy finally broke the deadlock," said England.

Shaftesbury Crusade dropped down to third following a 4-1 home defeat against Lawrence Rovers, whose manager Tim Richards was delighted with an excellent performance from last season's District League champions.

On target for Rovers were Daniel Harris (2), Luke Mathison and Eddie Chapman, before evergreen Nigel Whitehead hit back for Crusaders.

Frampton Athletic took a step nearer safety thanks to a 2-0 success in the basement battle at Brimsham Green.

Clayton McFarland netted the opener in the 35th minute and Martin Tozer ended Brimsham's hopes with a well-struck drive midway through the second half.

"This was a good result as we had a few players out," said Frampton manager Jeff Thomas.

A waterlogged pitch at Warmley caused the postponement of Fishponds Athletic's home game against Totterdown.

Longwell Green Reserves took a seven point lead at the top of the Premier Division with a 4-0 home romp against Roman Glass St George Reserves.

Mark Ashley and Mike Hardman both hit doubles for the leaders, who scored twice in each half.

"We should have won by a far bigger score," said Longwell Green manager Nick Marsh.

Hallen Reserves lost ground after going down 2-1 at home to Nicholas Wanderers. Craig Woodland and Jon Scrase have taken over the management duties at Wanderers from James Zabec and they celebrated with the team's first league victory of the season.

Zabec is continuing as a player and made a big contribution from midfield. Gareth Clemence grabbed a stoppage- time winner after an earlier goal from Sam Nicholls was cancelled out by an equaliser from Matty Davis for Hallen.

Winterbourne Reserves won 2-1 at South Bristol Central, who took the lead through Matty Sweet. Sean Cooper equalised for Winterbourne and new signing Tim Bruton marked his debut by netting the second-half decider.

Matt Denton completed his hat-trick with a last-minute winner for Wick, who came from behind to beat inconsistent Talbot Knowle 4-3 at Somerdale.

Mark Gifford was the other scorer for Wick, in reply to goals from Jamie Davies, Rob Mizen and Alex Sylvester, with an 89th minute penalty, which levelled the score at 3-3, before Denton's long range effort sealed three points for the visitors.

St Philips MAS twice took the lead with an early double from ace marksman James Shipman before Bitton Reserves bounced back to snatch a 5-2 away win.

Billy Hodge, Ryan Ricketts, Nick Burton, Joe Gane and Russ Woodford scored for Bitton, who are on the fringe of the race for honours.

Mendip's home game was called off because of the Somerset Cup commitments of Hartcliffe, who lost 3-1 on penalties in the first round at home to St George (EIG). The tie had finished 2-2 after extra-time, with substitutes James Mogg and Steve Dart on target for Hartcliffe.
