Eastleigh 0 Dorchester Town 1

Dorchester clinched only their second win of the season in the Blue Square South against Eastleigh.

After a drab first half in which Matt Bodkin's firmly-struck shot was well saved by Dorchester's Gareth Stewart and Wes Fogden curled Dorchester's only shot wide, the match sprang to life.

The Magpies should have taken the lead after 56 minutes, when Nick Crittenden's cross was returned to the six-yard box by Jamie Gleeson, but Fogden could only scoop the ball over the bar from six yards.

After former Magpie Matt Groves drilled a shot on the turn wide for Eastleigh, the Magpies opened the scoring, and it was a Gleeson centre from a free-kick awarded for a foul by Trevor Challis that was nodded down at the far post by Ryan Moss. Danny Clay drove home the loose ball from close range.

The Spitfires went close to equalising when substitute Andy Forbes headed against a post but Dorchester held on to get the win.
