Ridley Scott's eagerly anticipated but closely guarded loose prequel to Alien has an 'ancient astronauts' set-up in the style of Erich Von Daniken. Noomi Rapace has the Ripley-esque role this time as Shaw, a late 21st century archaeologist who discovers a 35,000-year-old cave painting on the Isle of Skye. This matches others from unconnected ancient civilisations which all suggest an invitation to visit a distant star system. Would it surprise you to learn that this proves to be a very bad idea indeed?
