The RWA presents a retrospective for the Anglo-Polish realist painter Josef Herman – centred on the artist's turbulent experiences of World War Two, when he fled between Warsaw, Brussels, Glasgow and London, and when his painting reached its experimental zenith. Elsewhere in the building you'll find a collection of engravings by the brilliant Trevor Haddrell, master of intricate, black and white Bristol cityscapes.
