Don't Miss Busnoys
Pete Judge is a very busy man, what with being in Get The Blessing, Three Cane Whale, Dakhla, Eyebrow and a dozen more highly successful combos.
So if he can spare the time to pop into the studio for someone else, you can bet it's in a pretty tasteful cause.
Busnoys is the latest band to tempt him into giving a guest performance on their latest CD By Tapering Torchlight. The London/Bristol trio are an exploratory jazz project with the distinctive sound of Martin Pyne's vibraphone, in constant duet with the bass of Jeff Spencer, underpinned by Trevor Davies in fine scattershot form on drums.
It's a self-sufficient sound, taking their time to unwind the tunes and reconfigure them anew.

Judge's contribution, when it comes, is a fondly mocking heckle that ices the cake of a quirky number that never knows when to settle down.
