A DOG walker has been arrested after allegedly using his pet to threaten a police community support officer.

At about 10.40am on June 19, the man was approached by PCSOs and reminded to put his dog on a lead near a children's play area in Prewett Street, Redcliffe.

But police said he became aggressive and held his dog close to an officer's face.

Beat manager PC Nick King said: "This behaviour will not be tolerated. Any witnesses are encouraged to call 101."
