Worthing came from 22-10 behind to beat Dings.

Dings opened the scoring with a Tom Lukjaniec penalty and increased their lead when Lukjaniec ran in a try which he converted for 10-0.

The visitors struck back with a try for lock Kacper Lawski and Worthing were well on top.

Hooker Mike Pointing the showed a turn of pace to touchdown out wide and tie the score at 10-10.

This stunned Dings into action and they scored two tries in two minutes, through Christian Gervais and Chris Wright-Hider, Lukjaniec added one conversion for 22-10 to Dings on half hour. Centre Ben Coulson added two penalties for Worthing and Lukjaniec replied for Dings for a half time score of 25-16 to Dings.

Dings twice had chances to clear the ball just after the break but decided to run the ball from their own line. The first attempt produced an unforced forward pass and scrum to the visitors keeping the pressure on. The second came after Dings were awarded a penalty, they elected to take a quick tap and again spilt the ball unopposed.

From the resultant scrum five metres from the Dings try line lock Alan Coulter crashed over with Coulson adding the conversion to bring the visitors within two points at 25-23. This proved the spur Worthing needed to throw everything into the rest of the tie.

The rest of the half was littered with errors with both sides having chances to add to the try tally but as the game approached the final stages it was Worthing that looked hungrier and stronger.

They won the game with a penalty from Coulson on seventy minutes and were unlucky not to add a fourth try with a couple of vital knock-ons when the try line was at their mercy.
