Worthing 13 Dings Crusaders 13: Dings Crusaders needed a converted try in injury time from Neil Dipple to extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

Fly-half Adam Westall added the all-important extras to secure a draw against strugglers Worthing, but the result means the Lockleaze outfit have slipped 11 points adrift of third-placed Rosslyn Park.

Dings, whose experienced prop Barry Cole was  a late pre-match withdrawal, seemed to be still on the team bus during the opening 40 minutes.

Second-rowers Rob Rees and Dave Bufton were both yellow-carded in quick succession, and Worthing took advantage to go into the break with a 13-0 lead.

Dings brought on Frenchman Pierre Panizzutti and Bristol Academy hooker Adam Bellamy just after the break and the change seemed to do the trick as the Bristol side began to dominate.

Westall kicked Dings back into the match by landing two penalties, but the visitors still trailed by seven points going into the 10 minutes of stoppage time.

Westall thought he had crashed over for a try  late on, but the referee was unsighted and could not award the score. However the official was playing advantage, and from the  resulting penalty Dipple touched down and Westall converted.
