Dings Crusaders Colts pulled off a 20-18 victory over last season's colts league and cup champions Bath Youth.

Crusaders wing Callum Peters and full-back Ceri Fernley crossed for tries, while fly-half Lewis Blackwell chipped in with two penalties and two conversions. Dean Hunt was in outstanding form at No 8 for Dings.

Broad Plain Colts, who were reduced to 14 men through injury, went down 41-10 at Dursley. Tim Cross and Ben Smith claimed tries while Scott Andoniou was the star man for the Bedminster club.

Plain's Under-14s came through 22-12 in a tough encounter at Cotham Park with Ashley Males (2), Jacob Collins and Jason Rodrigues scoring tries and Dan Jacobs adding a conversion.

Whitehall Under-16s had a 12-0 lead at Bristol Saracens when their match was abandoned on the hour mark due to an injury. Tries by Simon Henshaw, converted by Alex Carter and a James Watkins effort proved to be the difference in a tight contest.

Whitehall Under-14s were comfortable 89-0 winners at Chipping Sodbury, with Carter Loveridge catching the eye for the Speedwell club.

Winscombe Under-8s won the Clifton Festival for the second successive year, beating hosts Clifton 8-3 in the final.

Winscombe's Under-13s beat Midsomer Norton 57-0 in the Bristol Junior Cup thanks to tries by Sam Rees (4), Josh Daly (2), Sam Hartshorne (2), Ollie Fox and Charlie Beake, while the under-17s eased past Dings 36-0.

Sam Curtis (2), Jamie Hall, Joe Bound and Dom Sheridan all touched down, with Will Baldock notching a try and three conversions.

Gordano Under-12s ran out 49-19 winners at home to their Frampton Cotterell counterparts, with Lewis Leaker claiming a hat-trick and Alex Reynolds grabbing two tries.

Callum Corcoran and Jordan Mitchell also crossed for the Portbury club and Sam Hodge slotted six conversions. Ben Greenslade added one conversion.

Nailsea & Backwell had mixed fortunes at the weekend, with most of their age groups playing for the first time this season.

The under-sixes, sevens and eights all lost narrowly to Weston-super-Mare, while the under-nines group earned a 4-4 draw with both sides scoring four tries.

Nailsea & Backwell's under-10, under-11 and under-12 sides all beat the Seasiders.

The Under-13s lost 13-0 to Cleve and the Under-14s were beaten by Cheddar 54-5. The Under-15s lost 29-17 to St Brendan's.
