Clevedon Town 1 Halesowen Town 2: Clevedon put up a good fight and led at half-time, but third-in-the-table Halesowen took the points with two second-half goals.

In the 11th minute, Justin Rowe missed a good chance to put the visitors ahead, his shot going straight to home goalkeeper Danny Greaves, while both Ruben Gouvaia and Nuno Barreto also had chances to score for Halesowen.

Clevedon's first real chance fell to Josh Brigham in the 28th minute but his long-range effort was easily dealt with by Halesowen keeper Danny Ireland in the Halesowen goal.

The home side took the lead in the 32nd minute when Lewis Powell netted his seventh goal of the season after Tom Billing had flicked on a corner from Danny Wring.

Jay Denny levelled the scores 11 minutes into the second half following a Darren Caskey free-kick despite strong appeals for offside from Clevedon and the visitors could have scored seven minutes later but Greaves did well to keep out a free-kick from Michael Briscoe.

Denny netted again in the 80th minute and was denied his hat-trick soon after when Greaves made another good save to turn a shot away for a corner.

Youngster Jermaine Hughes came off the bench to make his debut for the home side four minutes from time.
