A loud bang and scraping soon after 8pm on Friday evening signalled that not everything was right on Canon's Road, Bristol.

Further investigation found that a trailer had become decoupled near the Watershed, ironically from a truck belonging to Bristol Television Film Services, a company that provides vehicles to the film and television industry.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident and as soon as the trailer came loose, the driver walked towards St Augustine's Parade to direct traffic towards College Green and Park Street as the decoupled trailer had made Canon's Road impassable.
