A HAT-TRICK from Jimmy Deane set up a 6-0 romp by Old Sodbury Reserves at home to Greyfriars A in the first round of the GFA Minor Cup, with strikes by Darren Bell, Ian Nelson and Craig White completing the rout.
Steve King was the scorer for Torpedo A, who won 5-4 in a spot-kick shoot-out at home to Seymour A following a 1-1 draw.
Goals from Marcus Ford and Tom Potts gave Sea Mills Park Reserves a 2-1 victory at Old Georgians Reserves, while Wessex Wanderers Reserves came from behind to beat Talbot Knowle Reserves 5-2, thanks to Liam Blackmore (2), Scott Harrison (2) and George Feane.
A perfect hat-trick – right and left shots – then a header from Dan Moore helped Coupland Insulation to win 4-2 away to Winford PH Reserves.

Adam Bitchener's treble inspired a 7-4 success for Retainers Reserves away to Bengal Tigers, while Steve Kemp netted both goals for Brislington Cricketers Reserves, 2-1 victors at Portland OB Reserves.
Goals from Craig Bamford (2), Luke Brimston and Charlie Harris could not save Shirehampton A from a 5-4 defeat at Old Cliftonians, while Cotswool Reserves crashed 7-2 away to Pucklechurch Reserves, for whom Scott Young and Kevin Pearce both notched hat-tricks.
Luke Basseng found the net eight times in Westerleigh's 13-1 hammering of Clifton Rockets Reserves, whose misery was compounded by further goals from Ryan Gidman (2), Dan Powell, Patal Hardeyman and Dimitri Dimitriov.
Jamie Jones bagged a brace for Shaftesbury Crusade Reserves, whose other scorers were Joe Cheesley and Joe Stevens in a 4-1 home victory against Helios, while Matthew Caines grabbed the only goal for Warmley Reserves to sink visiting Highridge Reserves.
