Dealt with elderly abuse issue well
I AM a dedicated – and thanks to the Post readers – successful fundraiser for a refuge for women and children victims of domestic violence.

Emmerdale is shown very early in the evening and possibly is viewed by young children.
However, the issue was brilliantly handled.

And most importantly the abuse was carried out by a vicar.
I, and some of my colleagues, are aware that all too often if the abuser comes over as a softly spoken, well-mannered person, in work or in public, even the police can sometimes find the abuser more plausible than the victim, who no doubt is often left shocked and upset by their ordeal.
It behoves us to remember the old adage – many a wolf in sheep's clothing.
