Dealer caught selling drugs in loo of OMG nightclub
A DEALER has been locked up for two years for trying to sell class A drugs in the toilets of a Bristol nightclub.
Prosecuting at Bristol Crown Court yesterday, Anjali Gohil said that on March 9 a door supervisor at OMG in Frogmore Street went into the toilets and saw Daniel Bennett holding a "snap-seal" plastic bag.

Daniel Bennett was selling drugs in OMG in Frogmore Street
He heard the 19-year-old say to another man in the toilets: "It's good quality stuff. Do you want to buy it or not?"
Two door staff restrained him until the police arrived and when he was searched, a yellow capsule was recovered containing five bags of ecstasy (MDMA), weighing a little over 1g.

Another 0.42g of the drug was found on him and the total street value of the drugs was about £50.
Bennett, of no fixed abode, admitted possessing a class A drug with intent to supply.
Ms Gohil told the court he had previous convictions for possessing cannabis and possessing cocaine.
Mitigating, Sam Jones said his client had had a very difficult childhood and had spent much of his teenage years in squats or homeless.
Of the latest crime, Mr Jones said: "He now knows how serious the offence was, but he didn't know it at the time.
"He has been convicted of drug possession before but the longest sentence he's ever had is six weeks."
Mr Jones said in recent months Bennett had started a relationship and "has taken real steps to turn his life around".
Judge Michael Roach took into account the 19-year-old's early guilty plea, his personal circumstances and a hand-written letter from Bennett before sentencing him to two years in a Young Offenders' Institution.
As Bennett stood in the dock, in tears, Judge Roach told him: "You were silly to get yourself involved in dealing at nightclubs at night."
He had already served 109 days in custody, which will be deducted.

i didnt go on about one persons opinion - i mentioned the one person i am aware of who has carried out extensive research into the drug and its effects and as such is somewhat educated on the subject. i dont need to point to his peers because it is this man that has done the research and educated himself on the subject. his opinion deserves to be respected. plus as mentioned before he is a professor of neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London, with all due respect i dont imagine he has many if any peers on the subject. lets not forget he was the one chosen by the government to be their drug advisor. it is only because they didnt like his findings that they relieved him of his post....maybe you could explain why someone is educated enough to be given such a job but not educated enough to have his views listened too??
i doubt very much you will be able too.
lastly, perhaps you could point me in the direction of the proof to back up your claims. i have already pointed you in the direction of the "Drugs Live" programme. whether you choose to watch it or not is up to you, but if you choose not to then i guess my earlier statement still holds strong and that is "Ignorance is Bliss".”

“I was just pointing out the you say there is no research into MNDA and then you go on about how ONE persons opinion. Who has backed up Nutt? Direct me to some proper, peer reviewed work please or stop spouting your pro-drugs idiocy.”

“@grumbleduke
I can only assume that you too are all too willing to just lay back and be spoon fed…ignorance is bliss eh!!
Watch the programme, like I said it is an experiment carried out by Professor Nutt. You must remember him. He was hired by the government as a drugs advisor because of his wealth of experience in the relevant fields..neuro-science etc. and then fired by the government because his research and general opinion on certain drugs didn't fall in line with what they wanted him to say. In other words the government would have retained the services of Dr Nutt if he had lied about his findings so that they did fall in line with what they wanted the public to think... .just why would that be???”

“By the same token then there is no evidence that MDMA/Ecstasy is NOT dangerous for you.”

“@pillowfight
do you actually realise that has been very little research into mdma/ectasy and as such there is no evidence that it is actually dangerous for you.
i think you should try to watch the documentary aired on channel 4 recently "Drugs LIve" where people were actually monitored whilst on the drug MDMA. the results are amazing. potentially beneficial. it was basically an experiment by Dr Professor Nutt (who is professor of neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London) and he sounds like he probably knows his onions better than most.
open your mind and watch it and it might help remedy your ignorance. it does seem like you have swallowed all the media propaganda that is spoon fed to people like you instead of basing your opinion of fact, truth and experience.”

“So, does alcohol being legal make it less dangerous than MDMA?”

“Alcohol is not illegal, the DRUGS that this criminal was selling are. No comparison.
Try thinking for yourself before jumping on geffone1's coat tails.”
