Police seized £9,000-worth of a deadly new street drug at an address in Weston-super-Mare.
Officers confiscated 448 grams of the substance, called NRG2 (Methylethylcathinone), which is aimed at young people, and arrested a 19-year-old man.
PC Richard Grierson said: "We're really pleased that we've managed to take such a significant amount of this drug off the streets of Weston.
"This seizure would have had a street value of almost £9,000. NRG2 is a recreational drug that is largely used by teenagers and young adults which can cause severe reactions and even death in users.

"Often drugs such as NRG2 and M-CAT start off life being sold as legal-highs or plant-food, exploiting loop-holes in the law.
"This might make them seem safer than other more commonly known drugs to users but they can be just as lethal.
"This was seen in the tragic case of the death of a teenage using the legal high Beno Fury in Scotland during June."
PC Grierson added: "We are determined to keep the young people of Weston safe from unscrupulous drug-dealers."
Officers from the District Targeting Team arrested a 19-year-old man on Monday, July 2 for possession with intent to supply NRG2.
He has been remanded in custody and is awaiting trial.
