Days Out: Join one of the free guided walks from Bath city centre, through Widcombe and up to Prior Park Landscape Garden
Blow off the winter cobwebs and welcome in spring by joining the Prior Park Landscape Garden walk in Bath. The free guided walk on March 5 begins at Bath city centre, then heads through Widcombe and up to Prior Park Landscape Garden, a beautiful and intimate 18th century landscape garden created by Bath entrepreneur Ralph Allen with advice from poet Alexander Pope and Lancelot "Capability" Brown.
The walk takes in plenty of local history and fantastic views along the way.
Participants are asked to wear suitable shoes and meet outside the Bath Tourist Information Centre in the Abbey Church Yard.
Normal admission prices apply at Prior Park Landscape Garden and there's a free hot drink at the garden for those taking part in the walk.
