More than 1,000 women went to Ashton Gate Stadium for a day of pampering last weekend.

The event was the biggest beauty show in the South West, with exhibitors offering a range of treatments including massage, acupuncture, skincare analysis, hair styling and make up.

Beauty experts, including award-winning Bristol salon Guy Fawkes, styled hair and the students of the City of Bristol College helped with manicures.

Organiser Lisa Doerr said: "Everyone is talking about the credit crunch, but what women really want is a day out where they can spoil themselves. This was a totally unique event and a wonderful way to forget about the recession and just enjoy yourself."
