Davis has a memorable Almondsbury debut
Hellenic League: Almondsbury Town included new signing Tony Davis from Hallen in their team as they handed out a 4-0 defeat to Flackwell Heath in the Premier Division.
"I had Tony playing for me previously and the one thing he always gives you is total commitment and he certainly showed that in today's game," said manager Paul Weeks.
The victory keeps them seventh in the table.
Richard Kear crashed a shot against the bar early in the game and it rebounded back to Adams Cole, whose well-struck volley gave the Flackwell keeper no chance.
They added a second on the half-hour when a short corner was played to Paul Fowler, who fired an angled drive into the top corner. Kear then set up Cole to score his second goal.
The visitors were awarded a penalty after a challenge by John Lock, but they failed to hit the target from the spot-kick.
In the second half, Kear, Cole and Brad Andrews all wasted chances to increase Almondsbury's lead.
Substitute Sahr Kabba came off the bench to complete the scoring with an 80th-minute goal.
In Division One West, Winterbourne United were back to the form they showed last season in winning the championship, with a 6-3 victory over visiting Purton.
Winterbourne took a 10th-minute lead with a well-judged chip over the stranded keeper by midfielder Mark Totterdell. Five minutes later, a goalmouth scramble ended with James Mainstone tapping in from close range.
Mark Hughes made it 3-0 with a shot from the edge of the penalty area on the half hour and Mainstone added a fifth 10 minutes into the second half.
Leading scorer Jimmy Potts then crashed home a Mainstone cross for their sixth before Purton hit back with two late goals to make the score respectable.
