Star Man: St George Rangers striker Dave Langridge was superb in his side's 7-0 victory over Bradley Stoke Reserves.

Langridge scored the perfect hat-trick – one from his right foot, one from his left and the other with a header – in the GFA Primary Cup quarter-final tie.

His creative play was also impressive and he managed an assist for a goal scored by strike partner Mark Fey.

Langridge's first goal was a great right-footed finish. He received the ball inside Bradley Stoke's penalty area, showed good footwork to create space for himself and finished well with a shot into the bottom left corner of the net.

Langridge's second came from a superb cross by Craig Edmunds on the left wing. Langridge jumped well to meet the ball and headed it into the far corner.

For his hat-trick, Langridge gained possession just outside the Bradley Stoke area. He moved into the box, brought the ball on to his left foot and hit a powerful low shot into the bottom left corner of the net.

Langridge said: "It was a good game. We started well and scored a few early goals. That gave us a lot of confidence and, realistically, the game was over after 20 minutes. The poor pitch didn't help matters, but it was a good result."

Langridge edged the Star Man award over fellow striker Fey, who scored the other four goals, because his creative play was slightly better.

The partnership of Langridge and Fey up front will be a real test for anyone who plays against them this season.
