A daring dozen raised an amazing £2,500 for St Peter's Hospice at the weekend in a charity abseil down one of Bristol's tallest buildings.

The team, made up of past and present staff from Merlin Housing Society, found their feet on solid ground after scaling down the 185ft tall Premier Inn in the centre of Bristol.

"It was a great feeling to get to the bottom and see so many friendly faces cheering us on. Their support certainly helped encourage us to clamber over the wall at the top and dangle ourselves off."
