Dan, 16, who is studying biology, PE, economics and English language A-levels at the North Bristol Post-16 Centre, said: "There are high-up decision makers coming to the conference from all over the world, so it'll be really interesting to get to meet them and hear what they have to say about what we are going to do to protect our planet."
Mike Farmer, director of finance and administration at the school, said: "We are all really proud of Dan. I think the conference will prove a real inspiration to him."
