Dad ready to tackle marathon
A BROMLEY Heath dad is set to run his first London Marathon.
Father-of-two Charlie Beresford will run the 26-mile course for Alzheimer's Research UK.
The 39-year-old sales consultant chose the charity which funds research into dementia because it is charity of the year for his employers.
He said: "With my 40th birthday looming, I decided to give it a go and, in case it's my first and last one, it has to be the Virgin London Marathon, in the Olympic year.

"Since Royal London has been supporting Alzheimer's Research UK, it's opened my eyes to the desperate lack of funding for research.
"Running the marathon gives me the perfect opportunity to help.
"Having a positive focus to raise money for dementia research will make me do my best on the day."
Mr Beresford will be cheered on April 22 by his fiancee and two children, Finley, seven, and Poppy, five. He has also set a competition to see who can guess his finishing time.
