St Vallier Under-15s secured a deserved 2-1 victory over DRG Stapleton in a thrilling finish to an otherwise ordinary Division A encounter.

Saints were first to strike from a corner, which was headed in by Kailen Grant-Davies to hand them a 1-0 half-time advantage.

The second period produced precious few chances at either end but, with only a few minutes remaining, Stapleton were awarded a penalty which Billy Deverill converted, to the delight of his team-mates.

Their joy was cut short, however, when Saints snatched a last-gasp winner with a deflected shot which sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Ashton Boys A maintained their 100 per cent record at the top of the division with a disciplined 4-1 victory at Bradley Stoke.

Daniel Stockford (2) led the way with two goals and was joined on the scoresheet by Tom Press and Jamie Smithies.

Under-13 Division V pacesetters Southmead CS turned on the power to beat previously unbeaten Downend Saints 6-0.

Ace marksman Ryan Connolly led the way with a hat-trick, but Southmead had man-of-the-match Lee Burton and captain James Batt to thank for an impressive victory that keeps them top of the table, although the chasing pack all have games in hand.

Ollie Bryant was solid at right-back and scored with a great free-kick, while Burton and Jack Darling netted the other goals in what was a good all-round team performance.

Having beaten table-toppers Thornbury Falcons the previous week, Rockleaze Rangers were expected to shrug aside Shirehamptoon Colts B, but they were made to work extremely hard for their 2-1 Under-12 Division V victory.

Rockleaze fell behind to a first-half goal from the visitors before rallying to snatch a narrow victory thanks to strikes from George Budd and Jai Jethwa.

A heavy pitch made it difficult for Rockleaze to play their normal passing game and they were indebted to the industry and awareness of full-backs Budd and Matthew Sledge, as well as strong and disciplined forward play from Matthew Faulkner to keep their promotion charge on track.
