Cyclists got on their bikes for the latest in a series of guided rides around Bristol aimed at helping people learn more about their city.

The 16 riders, including two children, met up on the platform at Stapleton Road station, where artist Bill Guilding explained the characters in his mural depicting Bristol's multicultural past and present.

The ride then took them alongside the rivers Frome and Avon to Arnos Vale Cemetery, through Whitchurch and Stockwood nature reserve before heading to St Anne's, Barton Hill and Easton.

A cycling treasure hunt will bring the series to a close on Saturday, September 5.

Places are limited so anyone interested needs to register in advance. Visit www.discoverbristol.org.uk or contact Steve Kinsella on 01934 838624.
