A cyclist remained in serious condition in Frenchay Hospital last night after a collision with a van in Coalpit Heath.

As reported in yesterday's Evening Post, the cyclist was in collision on Monday evening with a silver Mercedes Vito van on the A432 Badminton Road, close to the junctions with Southview Crescent and Woodend Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Contact the road policing unit on 0845 456 7000.
