Cyclist causes stir with stunt video on Bradley Wiggins' Tour de France bike
A mountain bike trials rider has caused a stir after posting a video of himself performing a range of impressive tricks - on the same road bike used by Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins.
Martyn Ashton is well-known for the stunts shown in the video - which includes clips of him in Bristol - but they are more usually performed on a mountain bike.
-

The bike used in the video is the same one Bradley Wiggins rode to victory in the Tour de France
In the video, Mr Ashton - a professional trials rider - takes the £10k carbon road bike used by Team Sky's Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish for a ride.
In one scene (at 1:54) Mr Ashton can be seen manoeuvring himself across the top of the sides of the Bath Road bridge crossing the train tracks near Temple Meads station.

Posted alongside the video is this statement: "With a plan to push the limits of road biking as far as his lycra legs would dare, Martyn looked to get his ultimate ride out of the awesome Pinarello Dogma 2."
Viewers on YouTube, where the video was posted, have posted comments describing the unusual stunts as "awesome".

“ldub76, no, a pre-requisite to being a journalist is being able to write. You know, spelling, grammar, that sort of thing. I'd stick to texting if I were you.”

“How totally irresponsible can you be, everyone knows the inbound cyclists are supposed too use the bus lane on the A4! Don't think you can get away by cycling over the bridge either Mr!”

“Oh Dear. Oh Dear. Oh Dear.
It must be soul-destroying for a journalist to have to report such non-stories as this.”

“*WOW* So after running out of "freedom of information request's" The Post now trawl through youtube for their non-storie's.
They wonder why sale's have dipped to an all time low..?
I could be a reporter for the post, sit at a computer tap "non-storie's" in Bristol and hey presto, another non-story.”
