Murray Ross from Weston super Mare has decided to set himself a bigger than ever challenge of cycling 300 miles from the centre of London to Paris in 3 days and then the following day complete the Paris marathon on 15th April for Portishead based charity Child-Safe International.

Murray is a trustee for Child-Safe and has supported them since 2002 when he was 15 and cycled from Bristol to Lands End over a weekend. Since then he has has helped to raise over £50,000 for the charity. They are a unique charity on a global scale and the work they do to prevent child abuse in the travel sector quite often goes unnoticed. Child-Safe is the only charity specialising solely in the safeguarding and prevention of abuse of children and young people engaged in activities within the Youth Travel Sector. Based at Avon and Somerset Constabulary HQ, a small team of charity staff and volunteers provide consultancy, training, advice, guidance and support to a range of organisations and individuals within the Youth Travel sector.

Murray is looking to raise £5,000 for Child-Safe, you can sponsor him at www.justgiving.co.uk/MurrayCRoss or email him at murraycross@hotmail.com
