Neil Soper is challenging his Cutters Friday players to maintain their encouraging climb up the table with three more points at Cleeve West Town tomorrow.

Four straight wins have lifted spirits, including 14 goals scored and only two conceded in that spell.

Soper said: "We've got more depth to our squad and we've introduced a big target man (Ryan Jones) and a pacy left winger (Scott Newman) from the reserves.

"That has freshened things up and winning is breeding confidence."

Steve Winter admits he is wary of the threat posed by bottom side Odd Down to his visiting Shirehampton team's chances of regaining top spot. "We're expected to win and that sends alarm bells ringing," he warned.

Barry Maxted will replace the absent Andy Fellows between the Nailsea United sticks as the hosts aim to leapfrog their opponents – 11th-placed Castle Cary – in the table with a win.

A depleted Backwell United face a tough away encounter against title-hopefuls Taunton Blackbrook.

Centre-half Chris Whittington wins a call-up in place of suspended Jo Garland as Fry Club bid to overhaul St George EIG at the summit with home victory over Paulton.

Nailsea Town could move into fourth place with a win over visitors Ilminster, although Keynsham Reserves, who currently occupy that position, are seeking to address patchy form against Larkhall at Crown Fields.

Boss Terry Saunders stressed: "We need to turn the corner quickly if we're to stay in touch."

Jimmy Wring is turning to recent history in the hope of seeing his Stockwood Green "underachievers" upset leaders St George EIG again on the road. "We won 1-0 there in St George's promotion season two years ago and we're out to repeat that feat," he warned.

Saltford host a Burnham Reserves side who have won just once all season, while Jeff Hazell and Bradley Haynes return for Brislington as they aim to stretch their winning run to four games at home to struggling Westland.
