Team Bath 2 Bishop Stortford 2

Team Bath bowed out of competitive football after a 10- year period described by manager Ged Roddy as "an incredible journey".

Following their 2-2 Blue Square South draw with Bishop Stortford, Roddy said: "I wouldn't have missed any of it.

"There have been some incredible high points, including becoming the first University side in 122 years to reach the first round proper of the FA Cup back in 2002.

"Literally hundreds of lads have pulled on the blue and gold shirt in those years and played with pride. I would like to thank each and every one of you."

Late on, it looked like it might end on a winning note, but a stoppage-time goal made it a 2-2 draw.

The first half was marked by two Josh Llewellyn strikes for Bath on 12 and 31 minutes to put them 2-0 ahead at the break.

Bishop Stortford might have pulled one back but they missed an open goal.

With ten minutes to go, Stortford pulled one back when Lewis Smith beat two defenders and slotted the ball home.

And two minutes from time the visitors were awarded a penalty but Jake Meredith saved the spot kick and deflected the rebound onto the post.

But just as Team Bath thought they were safe and would bow out with a victory, substitute Roy Essandoh - of last-minute winner for Wycombe in the quarter-finals of the 2001 FA Cup - scored an equaliser.
