For those who fancy getting down to their own funky beat, Colston Hall is hosting a free interactive music experience again this week.

The Youth Music Box, billed as 'Guitar Hero meets installation art', enables people of any age to create their own track in under 10 minutes.

The portable pop-up studio in the foyer of the music venue can host up to four people at a time and features two keyboards, which control vocals and melody, a drum kit and digital turntable.

Would-be rockers can choose from six musical styles including drum'n'bass, reggae, electro and even classical as a backing track.

What's more, the whole experience is captured on video and uploaded to the Youth Music website.

Youth Music Box will be open from 2pm to 8pm weekdays, and noon to 8pm at weekends until October 18.
