Count on Colour Squadron to be a winner this time
JUST over two weeks ago at Newbury, Colour Squadron gave Tony McCoy a most uncomfortable ride when the saddle slipped forward on the seven-year-old, but the combination still finished an honourable second.
Trained by Philip Hobbs, pictured, Colour Squadron returns to the Berkshire course for the Befred Double Delight Novices' Chase and, with any luck, he should be able to gain compensation for that rather unlucky defeat.

Last term, Colour Squadron was a very useful hurdler and scored over this course and distance in that sphere in the style of a smart young horse in the making. He has the make and shape to be as good, if not better, over fences and should open his account.
Monkerty Tunkerty, trained high on Exmoor by Jessica Westwood, can make his presence tell in the Betfred Goals Galore Handicap Chase, when he bids to follow up hisvictory at Wincanton on Boxing Day.

He looked pretty good on that occasion, which is no real surprise as he was a leading fancy for the Foxhunters' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last March before injury intervened.
But he has bounced back from that setback in grand form and , though he is now ten, there are not that many miles on the clock and he can again show his rivals a clean pair of heels.
Vieux Lion Rouge made a nice impression when he won on his bumper debut at Ffos Las last month and is the type who can improve for the experience in the Betfred Hat Trick Heaven NH Flat Race.
But he will not have things all his own way as John Reel, another Ffos Las debut scorer, also has a progressive look. However, Vieux Lion Rouge can take this in his stride before going on to better things in the near future.
The Anthony Honeyball-trained Jackies Solitaire got the better of a three-way driving finish to win at Catterick and she can make a bold bid to follow up in the EBF Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Mares's Novices Chase, where her jumping and tenacity can pay off again.
