Councillors fail to see way forward
BRISTOL City council's planning committee have devastated us all by inexplicably turning down a fantastic opportunity for the expansion of Gloucestershire County Cricket ground in Bristol.
The cricket club, having already modified their ground improvement plans and still produced a workable and attractive ground improvement plan to enhance international cricket in a beautiful setting, have been thwarted again by councillors flying in the face of their own planning officers' recommendations.

Sadly, Bristol City Council's sporting support has got an appalling track record. This inept and ineffective council's inability to see the way forward for the good of so many in our city doesn't end with sporting opportunities.
Come on Bristol City Council, start forward thinking and bring us up-to-date in both cricket, football and the arts.
