contract he would not have been made aware of the fact that they were

paying for a "middle man" to deal with their contract. He went on to say had he not investigated he would have been none the wiser

He

has instructed the use of brokers for council contract was not

appropriate and that he was disappointed with the clerk to council for

not highlighting the issue. He also confirmed that the credit rating for

Filton town council was 3 out of a possible 100 score.

Adam

Monk, chair of Filton council said that despite requesting a schedule of

contracts from the council's administration on "several occasions"

councillors had yet to see sight of it.

“Full marks to Bill Moore, Rikki Teml and Kieran Hyde for staying true to their values of representing Filton for the better as the remainder seem to be allowing miscarriages of council justice to happen time after time.
They have to answer to the people of Filton who continue to be let down as anything with a ounce of controversy is quickly slid behind closed doors that is the staffing committee.
To illustrate this to know that finance spent more time talking about photocopiers than loss of income for the ratepayers or that they don't know what contracts they have, really sums it up.

Embarrassing for those councillors who do a proper day job within organisations where this type of management just isn't sustainable.
The council continue to place financial management at risk, something the audit commission raised in 2010.
18 months in and some councillors blocking change should now resign under a shadow of mismanagement and failure to address these issues, starting with the chair and vice chair.

I never thought I would say this but Rumpole is right in that transparency promised by the chair Adam Monk, was nothing more than an empty gesture.”

“Oh how a tide can turn! Now people see councillor monk as nothing than more of the same they begin to realise the snake in the grass tactics that go on. People were warned of the two faced tactics, but they failed to listen. He's a labour branch member who had stood by and watched colleagues get bullied. He fails to even attend several staffing meetings, which as chair he is duty bound to do. The reason is when the going gets tough, he gets the excuses out and hides.
Ellie is right, residents were sucked in and now they see chair of council as a Judas for not acting. What did you expect? He won't touch the ratepayers he'll just keep rolling out the same old excuses.
Many have forgotten the cost of Councillor Monks spat with Hutchinson, it went to court because he simply wasn't big enough to handle the criticism. We have not come full circle in that Monk is the new Hutchinson and to those who supported him, congratulations!”

“Yet more revelations! How shameful that these councillors carry on covering for costly mistakes, which in the real world, would have meant sacking of the lot of them.
councillor Monks who promised so much has delivered nothing. He simply nods his head, every time the strings are pulled by his labour cronies, who he darent go against for fear of damaging his reputation. Still, being chair looks good on the CV eh?
Its utterly lame and frankly a waste of public money to have someone with such pathetic ability to sort out a mess he helped to create as councillor during the reign of Alan Tink and Brian Freeguard, now he has turned his back on every principle of whats right so as to protect his image.
Many are now questioning is Roger Hutchinson really as bad as they say or was this all a plan by the likes of Monks and Pomroy in 2010 to rubbish the reputation of someone they felt threatened by, on council??”

“We thought some councillors were useless but now we know they are irresponsible too. A retired bunch of feckless idiots, with one who claims to run his own business but wouldn't know what a profit was if it bit him in his recruitment a.s.s
Labour councillor and self made consultant chair of council, Adam Monk is called the "limp lettuce" by Roger Hutchinson and he's right. A useless chair who won't get his hands dirty.
Staff error after error, would he employ them for his company?
The Labour unionist councillors Monk,Mead,Chubb, Edgeworth and "those poor staff" Collins would defend the clerks actions every time if it means they can hide their poor management of the staff.
This council needs to dissolve as the damage to Filton is irreversable.”
