Contribute before making demands
AS I understand it, the local Somalian community want to have a day set aside for them in order that they can undertake swimming for their own community at the Horfield Sports Centre. Why, are they any better than the local indigenous population who deserve more rights?
Please can I remind everyone who lives in Bristol especially the Somalian community of Horfield and Bristol that you can only start demanding rights when you actually contribute to the benefit of Bristol i.e paying taxes, community charges etc. Why should you be subject to any different privileges to the average Bristolian or any person of any nationality who moves to live, work and pay their dues whilst here in order to better themselves.
It is my opinion that in general the Somalian community has not offered any benefits to the society of Bristol in terms of specialist trades, industries etc but have only arrived here because of the poor immigration controls that were/are in place.
I am annoyed at this issue, especially when I received my community charge bill showing there is at least a two per cent increase in charges for the year 2013.

You understand wrong and for that reason alone, the rest of your diatribe can be ignored.”
