The West Country inspired restaurant has been renamed to honour Bristolian Walter William Hughes who back in 1863 gathered together a group of like-minded citizens who all saw the need for a first class hotel on College Green.
The Royal Hotel opened in 1868 and has continued to this day providing excellent accommodation and dining in the heart of the city.
