KEVIN Neal, co-founder of Bristol's Compass Project, says it all. Often, all people need is a bit of support and some trust as they attempt to rebuild their lives.

So their Gloucester Road charity shop is a little bit different to most. The people working here all have a history of drug or alcohol abuse. As a consequence their "normal" lives have all but collapsed.

The Compass Project aims to get them back on track in society by getting them helping to help themselves and others like them.
