Comment: In praise of Bristol Half Marathon runners
WHAT a glorious sight to see so many snaking their way through the city in yesterday's half marathon.
A record number took part and hundreds of thousands of pounds will be raised not only for the official charities but many others too.
Just completing the 13-mile course was the challenge for some, while others gained personal bests.
Whatever the reason for taking part everyone involved should be congratulated.
We must also include in our congratulations those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure it happens and the spectators for creating the atmosphere and supporting their loved ones in fulfilling their dreams.

“WELL DONE TO ALL THE RUNNERS, VOLUNTEERS ETC ESPECIALY THE SUPPORTERS THAT WHERE THERE TO CHEER PEOPLE ON TO FINISH THE RACE.. LETS ALL HOPE ITS EVEN BIGGER NEXT YEAR BECAUSE I AM GOING TO DOIT NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE MY FIRST ONE FOR MANY YEARS I WANTED TO DO IT THIS YEAR BUT UNFORTUANTLY I HAD FAMILY COMITMENTS EG NAN IN & OUT OF HOSPITAL SO THAT CAME FIRST..
