Collett nets twice on his return to action for Hallen
Tom Collett, who has been sidelined with a foot injury, marked his first start of the season for Hallen by scoring twice to give his side a deserved point from a 2-2 draw at home to Bideford in the Toolstation League Premier Division.
Hallen boss Gary Domone said: "I was pleased with our performance. We have missed Tom's ability in front of goal and his return to the side gave us a lot more options up front. He was always a danger to the Bideford defence."
Bideford took an early lead through Jamie Densham, but Halllen hit back with Collett equalising in the 30th minute with a superbly-struck shot from 25 yards.
Ten minutes later, Collett gave his side the lead when he cut in from the flank to crash home a shot from the corner of the penalty area, which gave the goalkeeper no chance.
However, he then failed to put away a chance to complete his hat-trick.
Bideford earned a point in the closing minutes of the game when Densham struck to complete a double of his own.
Bitton's run of five league games without defeat came to an end when they crashed to a 3-1 home defeat against Larkhall Athletic.
Larkhall were only promoted last season, but their victory takes them to the top of the table as neither Dawlish Town nor Street had a league game.
Bitton manager Andy Black said: "We lost the game in the opening 10 minutes. Poor defending allowed Larkhall to open up a two-goal lead and, although we pulled a goal back midway through the second half, Larkhall added a third late on as we were pushing players forward."
Larkhall went close to taking the lead in the second minute, when Luke Bryan was just off-target with a header from a free-kick, but striker Jamie Mines put them ahead after five minutes and they quickly added a second when a defensive mix-up allowed Mines to beat goalkeeper John Rendell.
Bitton hit back with Michael Meaker having a shot blocked on the goal-line and, midway through the half, Meaker created a chance for Michael Mullen, but his shot lacked power and was easily saved.
Bitton came out to take control of the second half and pulled a goal back after 71 minutes through Meaker, but as they pushed forward looking for an equaliser, their defence was caught out for Mines to add a third to give Larkhall their victory.
In the First Division, Roman Glass St George gained their first victory of the season as they overcame bottom-of-the-table Devizes Town 3-0 with two goals from Nathan Baird and one from Steve Moore.
Striker Matt Huxley was the match-winner for Oldland Abbotonians, scoring a hat-trick to take his tally for the season to 15 goals as his side were 5-0 home winners over Elmore. Simon Dew and Mike Bristow completed the scoring for the Abbots.
A double from Ricky Charlton and a last-minute goal by Ben Crewe gave Hengrove Athletic a fine 3-0 home victory over Almondsbury UWE.
Cadbury Heath went down 2-1 at home to Odd Down despite taking the lead in the first half through Neil Ward. Jamie Taylor and player-manager Lee Burns scored for Odd Down in the second half.
