Cobbled together from old Lego
ISN'T it high time for us to sort out The Centre?
The waterside development is excellent, but the Centre itself, everything in front of the Hippodrome, looks like it was cobbled together by a toddler with the very last bits of Lego in the box – the bits that won't fit to each other or anything else no matter how much you stamp on them.

This space should be something for Bristolians to be proud of, something welcoming for residents and visitors alike and not the chaotic mess that it is now.

“I saw a recent photograph of Spud Murphy and his face resembled something cobbled together by a toddler playing with a Mr Potato Head toy.”

“I was in the centre during the recent Bristol Half Marathon and it was lovely. There was no motor traffic. I know that's an unrealistic basis for improving this area but it highlights to me the fact that enjoyment of this piece of land is always going to be difficult against the backdrop of so much road traffic.”
