Coach destroyed in fire on M5

FIREFIGHTERS from Thornbury helped deal with a coach fire that completely destroyed the vehicle.

The service was called at just before 8pm on Monday night to the coach that was travelling northbound on the M5 between junctions 14 for Dursley and 13 for Stroud.

The blaze, which was also attended by Gloucestershire fire service, has started in the rear engine compartment.

A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue said the coach was destroyed by the fire which caused some travel disruption.
