Clubbing Motion lets rip
Adecade and a half is a long time in the fast moving world of clubbing. It's a testament to Ripsnorter's status as one of Bristol's best loved party crews that they can get away with booking a venue like Motion to celebrate their fifteenth birthday.
While best remembered for their legendary nights at The Depot on Lawrence Hill – which sadly closed in 2004 – the promoters have also unleashed their brand of hard dance mayhem in venues as varied as The Rummer basement, The Black Swan and the dance stage at Ashton Court as well as the free parties, boat parties and one-off reunions that have kept the brand going in recent years.

This weekend's session is set to be the crew's biggest party since their 10th birthday laid waste to Lakota back in 2007. As well as Ripsnorter main man DJ Pod, the tunnel area will feature techno, trance, progressive, acid and hard house from the likes of Mark EG, Oberon and Ben Fraser, while the cave will welcome original resident Lady Base to the fold after a nine-year absence.
Meanwhile on the terrace, there will also be a set from Dan Pearce aka Eats Everything (pictured) – a move sure to entice a new generation of clubbers to the party. A Ripsnorter regular at the age of 16, Pearce's career has recently gone stratospheric – his slinky, bass-loaded house sound cropping up everywhere from hot-as-hell labels like Dirtybird and Hypercolour to Radio 1's Essential Mix and the main room at Fabric.
