Cliff-face climbers rescued
COASTGUARDS rescued climbers from a 110ft cliff face after their ropes became tangled. One of the 15-year-olds had become stuck half-way down the cliff at Uphill on Sunday evening. A friend clung on to the ropes at the top of the cliff for 45 minutes to prevent him from falling and was commended by the rescuers. The two boys were showing signs of hypothermia when the Burnham-on-Sea coastguards arrived and were taken to hospital.
