Rugby Tn 4 Clevedon Tn 0: Clevedon crashed to defeat against fellow strugglers Rugby Town and it needed a brilliant performance from goalkeeper Danny Greaves to save them from a much heavier defeat.

"We failed to turn up for the game, failed to compete and it was only the performance of Danny Greaves that saved us from going down by a much bigger margin," said Clevedon manager Wayne Powell.

Rugby, who started the day bottom of the table, moved out of the relegation zone with the three points.

Clevedon had started promisingly, with striker Lewis Powell was twice denied by fine saves from goalkeeper Andrew Stephens.

Rugby took a 21st-minute lead through striker David Kolodynski and made it 2-0 eight minutes into the second half when Kolodynski set up Scott Musgrove to score.

Greaves could only parry a Steve Purton free-kick, leaving Kolodynski with a simple chance to make it 3-0, before completing his hat-trick in injury time.
